- Maxim Truck & Trailer: Hey Marysol, I asked Roger and he had this to say about it: "Yes blowing air will work but I would advise that she wears appropriate PPE to protect her eyes and skin. Some of the stuff that gets blown off can be hazardous. Alternatively I would recommend a hot water wash for the batteries and then a blow dry with the shop air. - Marysol Deeley: Thank you. As "Just the Driver" I did in fact learn a lot here!I do keep my truck clean. I do check cables. But did not know about the external fuses and where they are. I will find them on my truck. I will also blow out the battery box more often, Dust and dirt gets in there and the lockout box for the lift axle on my dump truck. What is the best way to clean all these more sensative areas. I do power wash parts of the engine, other parts I do by hand, batteries i rub with a dry rag. Is it safe to use say air to blow the dirt off of these places?
