In snapshot 14w04a, a new "particle" command was added, which allows you to summon any particle in the game in a given radius. Additionally, Item Frames can now be rotated by 45 degrees, and can be detected by Redstone Comparators, allowing up to 8 different redstone signals, depending on the rotation. Also, you can use dispensers to dispense player / mob heads in order to automate the process of spawning withers, as well as using pumpkins for iron / snow golems. Hope you enjoy!
